In 2014 Colin embarked on an extensive solo recital tour, which debuted at Wigmore Hall in London, then took in prestigious venues in Hamburg, Manchester, Minneapolis, Boston and Washington DC. Central to that repertoire was the inclusion of one of the great marimba works of the entire solo literature, perhaps the summit of the solo marimba world - ‘Moi, jeu…’ by Bruno Mantovani.

Colin Currie returns to London on 25th March to perform the hugely anticipated world premiere of Danny Elfman’s Percussion Concerto at the Royal Festival Hall.

‘Conversations’ by Steve Reich will be published by Harper Collins this week in which the composer shares a series of discussions with colleagues and collaborators spanning his career of several decades.

On 4th March, Colin Currie returns to the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with his quartet to perform as part of the conservatoire’s ‘Big Bash Weekend 2022’ event.

Colin Currie will be performing three concerts with the Västerås Sinfonietta in Västerås, Sweden on the 23rd, 24th and 26th February.

Greetings to all and a brief message to wish everyone well as we continue to hold out against the pandemic. This year was another battle of wits against odds but did contain some marvellous music and I am grateful to everyone I performed with and everyone who made it to the halls to hear us live.

On December 19th and 20th, Colin Currie will be performing in the 4. Sinfoniekonzert at the Lübecker Musik-und Kongresshallen, along with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Lübeck. Conducted by James MacMillan, one of the most prolific composers of our time, the concert will begin with Ottorino Respighi's colorful Trittico Botticelliano

December the 3rd 2021 marks the 50th anniversary of the World Premiere of ‘Drumming’ by Steve Reich - in the composer’s 85th year and marking 15 whole years of my ensemble, Colin Currie Group, which was founded initially in order to perform that exact work.

In 2006 Steve turned 70 and the BBC approached me about an event to mark that occasion, as is well documented. The journey since then has been extraordinary, the most recent chapter featuring the world premiere of ‘Traveler’s Prayer’ in a four city European tour and another chance to celebrate his vast, rich and diverse musical output live in concert.
